You couldn't have asked for a better Vancouver day than today. Up early to finish off my treatment for the MOW. I printed it off, took it for a cup of coffee so we could mull ourselves over. A few tweaks and it went off to the producers as promised. Then a brief chat with Melinda, who's finally found the perfect apartment. This followed by a bike ride in the sun to Army & Navy. Buzzing around the DES never felt so free before. $100 CDN became 60 Euros. The hill at Quebec laid flat for once. Then some sort of chatty switch flicked off in my head starting with Black Dog Alex. The stitch'n'bitch crew arrived -- Kelly, Lili, Tara and Roxanne. We're all shawls and ponchos when we should be bikinis and wristies. It'll pay off in spades in the fall. I should have picked today to flirt with my soma-crush, but that would have been pushing my luck. Instead, my producers tracked me down there to say I had hit the mark. Phew. Catching up with Michael. Then news came that the series I didn't land three months ago has been drastically downsized anyway and the production schedule pushed. I feel badly for the creator; he deserves the best. Then I ran into Megan, then Tammy, then filled my belly with Hawker's Delight after running into Tamara. Everyone was out on Main. The only thing that would have made the day better? The presence of currently-on-vacation Lecky.

As good as it can be. True to form, it's always best to leave on a high (note). Tomorrow: Amsterdam.
